Before applying for admission in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), it is very pertinent to know the 2019/2020 general admission requirements for all courses in the university. This is very vital because, UNN will not offer admission to any candidate who can not meet her requirements for the year. Thus, it is incumbent on every aspirant to know UNN admission requirements for 2019/2020 academic session and do everything possible to meet their requirements.

In this article, i will be disclosing UNN admission requirements for both UTME candidates and Direct entry candidates. So whether you are applying through UTME or Direct Entry, this article gat you covered.

UNN 2019 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Below are the requirements for admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN):

  • Candidates applying for admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) must be at least, 16years of age.
  • Candidates are expected to take UNN post UTME examination. This is applicable to both Direct entry candidates and UTME candidates.
  • Candidates must have at least, 5 (five) credits in their O’level result (English and any science subject is compulsory). This O’level result can be WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB.
  • Candidates must meet the admission cutoff mark for their desired course before they can be offered admission. Click here to see UNN departmental cutoff mark for 2019/2020 academic session.
  • Direct entry candidates are expected to have two passes at the IJMB Advanced Level Examination, Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate from recognised institutions with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalent in three other subjects.
  • UTME candidates must make the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) their first choice of institution.
  • UTME candidates must also score at least, 200 in JAMB examination to be offered admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
  • Direct entry candidates must also purchase UNN direct entry form for 2019/2020 to apply for admission.

Note: Successful direct entry candidates are to begin their studies from 200 level in UNN. Accordingly, UTME candidates are to begin from 100 level.
