• Logon to UNICAL’s student portal using the link below: http://www.Myunical.edu.ng
• Click on Screening UTME.
• Now you have to enter your correct JAMB Registration number in the space provided.
• Enter the scratch card pin in the box provided.
• Click on login and follow the online instructions.
• Confirm your entries and CLICK ON SUBMIT.
• Print out the completed form and keep it safe. It will be collected at the post UTME venue.

UNICAL scratch cards are only available in the following banks within Calabar Metropolis ONLY:

• Unical Microfinance Bank
• Heritage Bank
• Zenith Bank Plc.
• WEMA Bank
• First city Monument Bank.

When you get to any of these banks, demand for the card and pay the required money.

How to pay through E-transact.

Alternatively, if you are not in UNICAL and you don’t know anybody around there, you can register for the form through E-transact.

This option is available in all commercial banks in Nigeria. At the bank, you are required to pay and obtain an E-transact PIN.

With the PIN log into the portal http://www.Myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link then follow the instructions on the portal after login.

UNICAL Admission Requirements 

1. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
2. Candidates must be at least, 16years of age to apply for admission.
3. Candidates must meet the set down departmental cutoff mark.
4. Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
5. The candidate must make at least 200 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening by the University of Calabar.
6. All Direct Entry candidates must purchase the Direct Entry Form from JAMB.

UNICAL Screening Requirements

The University of Calabar holds her admission screening exercises within a week or a couple of weeks and it usually comes in two phases. Students who applied to study in the school are to proceed with the pre-screening exercise when once it is being announced.

It is important that the candidate arrives early and locate his/her screening venue early. Candidates will be screened based on their JAMB scores and their SSCE result respectively.

The second phase of the screening is after the admission lists might have been released. The candidate whose name has been shortlisted will be invited for another screening exercise by the Faculty/Departments. Here are vital documents require;

JAMB cut off mark for the University of Calabar UNICAL is 160. This means that, before any student will be allowed to take UNICAL Post UTME screening examination, he/she must score up to 180 in JAMB examination.

Before I proceed further, I will like to bring to your notice that UNICAL JAMB cut off mark is 160. This means that before you will be qualified to take UNICAL post UTME form, you must have scored a minimum of 160 and above in your JAMB examination.

How To Calculate UNICAL Aggregate Score For 2021/2022 Admission

Ever since the introduction of the JAMB CAPS system of admission, all schools have deviated a means by which they can sum up candidate’s JAMB scores with other results and use in admission processes.

It is pertinent to note that UNICAL specifically does not make use of O‘level results in calculating the aggregate score. Hence, it’s done in a ratio of 50:50 using the JAMB and Post UTME score.

in light of what is above, the JAMB score carries 50% and the Post UTME score also carries 50%.

UNICAL only cares that you have a minimum of 6 credits with mathematics, English, and one social science subject being compulsory. Although this won’t affect your Aggregate Score.

2. 76/2 = 38
3. Total Aggregate Score = 40 + 38 = 78
