On the 2022 registration platform, Candidates are to note that their 1st choice can be a College of Education, University, Innovative Enterprise Institutes, Polytechnics/Monotechnics, NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy), or Nigeria Police Academy.

JAMB UTME 2022/2023 Registration General Entry Requirements.

The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes in Universities, other degree-awarding Institutions, Monotechnics, Polytechnics, Innovation Enterprise Institutions and Colleges of Education are five (5) O’Level Credit passes including Mathematics and English Language.

JAMB UTME 2022/2023 Registration Date & Venues.

The JAMB 2022 CBT EXAMINATION will commence on Saturday, 10^th March and end on Saturday, 17th March 2022

The venue of the examination will be at any center in the candidate’s chosen examination town(s)

How to Obtain JAMB UTME 2021/2022 Registration Form & General Instructions

• Registration Fee is Three Thousand Five Hundred (N3, 500) Naira Additional Five Hundred (N500) Naira only, is paid to obtain the reading text “Sweet Sixteen” by Bolaji Abdullahi for UTME Candidates and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by A. H. Mohammed for DE Candidates and $20 for Candidates from the eight foreign centers
• A CD containing JAMB e-Syllabus, e-Brochure, and other vital materials is also given free
• Candidates should note that e-PINS purchased are tied to individual profile and are not transferable
• Candidates are advised to keep as private and confidential their security details such as registration numbers, password/numbers of ATM Cards, email addresses, and e-PINs. No center is allowed to request or accept a candidate’s password.

A. PROFILE REGISTRATION

1. One Cell (mobile) number (SIM) can be used by one candidate only. The Cell phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the Candidate’s name and will be used in all communications related to his/her 2021 Application, Examination/Admission. NOTE THE SIM-NUMBER USED. IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE FOR SUBSEQUENT COMMUNICATION
2. Candidate sends his/her name [Surname First-Name Middle- Name (if any)] by text (SMS) to 55019. This should be a maximum of 38 characters + 2 spaces between names = 40 characters in all to 55019 e.g Tinubu Adamu Odumegwu. Surname and first name are mandatory
3. A Profile Code of 10 characters is received by the candidate on the same telephone (SIM) number
4. The candidate presents the profile code to the point of procurement of form (Banks, MMOs, MFBs, Switches, USSD Partners). The form- ePIN is then sent as a text message to the candidate

B. SELF HELP IN CASE OF MISTAKE/LOSS OF PROFILE CODE

1. To correct a mistake in the candidate’s name, send the [CORRECT Surname First-Name Middle-Name] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number
2. To retrieve a lost Profile Code, send [RESEND] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number
3. Candidate can reset lost or forgotten Profile Password on their registered cell phone by sending [password] space [email address] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number

(FREE COMPLAINT) TICKETING: For ALL complaints on JAMB processes, candidates can create a support ticket at (support.JAMB.gov.ng) with his/her email address registered on the Board’s site. The candidate then provides his/her name, phone number, and the nature of the issue selects a complaint area on a dropdown and then summarizes the nature of the complaint. He/she may also attach supporting documents (if available) then send them.

C. JAMB ePIN SELLING POINTS The ePIN outlets are:

1. NIPOST and eleven Participating Banks (ACCESS, FCMB, FIDELITY, FIRSTBANK, JAIZ, Polaris, Stanbic IBTC, STERLING, UNION, and UNITY)

1. Collect the Profile Code from the candidate’s phone

4. Issue Evidence of Payment

F. HOW TO RECOVER LOST ePIN AFTER PAYMENT

1. If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number
2. The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number

AFTER SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT AND OBTAINING ePIN, CANDIDATE SHOULD PROCEED TO ANY OF THE JAMB ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES TO COMPLETE HIS/HER REGISTRATION.

G. REGISTRATION PROCESS AT CBT CENTRES:

The candidate presents the ePIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for completion of registration. The name of the candidate as typed by the candidate on his/her phone when registering the profile comes up automatically on the input of the e-PIN by the CBT center

Candidates are to:

1. Pay NOT more than N700 as Service Charge to the CBT Centre
2. Provide Biodata including Date of Birth, Nationality, State of Origin, Local Government, Gender, e-mail address, among others
3. Provide choice of institutions and programmes (disciplines)
4. Provide qualification with grades and dates, if not awaiting result
5. Upload relevant certificates, if not awaiting result
6. O/L and or A/L grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the results online as soon as they are available on JAMB’s portal. No recommendations from any Institution will be considered by JAMB if the candidate has not supplied his/her result on the portal of JAMB
7. Supply JAMB registration number for previous institutional certificates for DE only
8. Provide UTME subjects and choice of examination town(s) for
   • Mock examination (optional)
   • Examination for UTME (actual examination)
9. Do picture capture (no scanning of passport photograph)
10. Do Biometric enrolment (ten fingers)
11. Review entries and confirm correctness
12. Print Registration Slip USING BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION
13. Collect, at no other cost, the reading text, and CD
14. Each Candidate is to collect his/her e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration
15. There will be no offline registration, as all the accredited CBT centers have been empowered for real-time online registration. No candidate should register at any center other than the accredited CBT center and JAMB State-Offices. Any candidate who is registered outside approved centers will be identified and disqualified.

H. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. All candidates must mandatorily register their profiles through text messages as illustrated above before proceeding to buy the ePIN
2. The registration fee is non-refundable
3. As it is the practice, centers are allowed to charge not more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) only as registration Any center that charges more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions
4. All CBT centers have been mandated to select any of the participating banks, MMOs, MFBs, etc. These financial institutions are to be present at the CBT centers for the purpose of collecting all No CBT center staff is allowed to conduct direct cash transaction with the candidates
5. Candidates are advised to read and understand the guidelines on admission and instructions on how to complete the online registration before commencing the process of registration
6. Multiple registrations are not Candidates who register more than once will be identified and disqualified
7. Candidates should note that they are required to be present and take live photographs which will be embossed on their result slips and admission letters. No scanned/stapled passport photograph is allowed
8. Candidates are to note that irrespective of their choice of course of study, they will also be tested on a general text: “Sweet Sixteen” by Bolaji Abdullahi for UTME and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates
9. Candidates/Officials would not be allowed to enter into the examination center with a wristwatch, Phone, electronic device, or any pen/biro. Only the common pencil is allowed

Candidates are warned that the Board does not require nor authorize the services of ANY cyber cafe or establishment other than the accredited CBT centers for this exercise

How to Apply For JAMB UTME 2022/2023 Registration form in Foreign Countries.

• The registration fee for candidates from the eight foreign countries is $20 or it is equivalent in each of the eight countries
• Candidates from the eight foreign countries are to download the Application from the Board’s website (www.JAMB.gov.ng) complete and submit it with the fee at the eight designated centers as indicated on the website.

How to Register NIN For JAMB 2022 For Free

We have established that you need NIN to register the next Jamb. The big question is how to apply to get the NIN for JAMB Registration. The good news is that Jamb has made an adequate arrangement with the NIMC for prospective candidates to be registered at the JAMB approved CBT centers or with its licensed agents.

• Walk into the enrolment Centre with a supporting document (see documents below).
• You will be issued an enrolment form to fill
• Applicant’s forms will be vetted by a NIMC Official to crosscheck the information filled on the form against the supporting documents provided and to check for errors/mistake-filled on the form.
• Your pre-filled information will be inputted on the NIMC Software by a NIMC enrolment officer or the Barcode slip will be scanned by the NIMC enrolment officer to populate all the required fields.

• If the applicant is satisfied with his/her demographic information, the biometrics (ten fingerprints and facial image) of the applicant will be capture subsequently.

How To Accepted Admission on JAMB CAPS Portal

Confirming whether you have accepted admission on Jamb caps portal or mistakenly clicked on reject is simple. After accepting the admission, the Reject Admission button will be blank. You can no longer click on the link. Accept admission link will still be clickable.Under the accept admission button, you will see Record(s) Successfully updated!

Accept the admission if you are okay with the school and course you are offered admission to study.

Here is how to allow pop ups on JAMB site in 2021.
In case you are a JAMB candidate (Jambite), you may have noticed that you have problems with JAMB portal when you don’t enable pop ups.
For example, if I want to check my JAMB admission status on JAMB portal or print my JAMB original result, it will not show until I do the required thing.

Follow the steps below, trust me I have tried and tested it and it working well.

1. Go to the JAMB site, in case you are not already on the site.
2. Click on the three (3) dots at the right hand side on your browser [chrome].
3. Scroll down and click on settings.
4. Move down to site settings in settings.
5. Click on pop ups and redirects in the site settings.
6. Allow pop ups on JAMB site by clicking the allow button.

It is as simple as that, read the steps again if you still don’t get it.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR O LEVEL ON JAMB CAPS 2021/21

Without your olevel Results uploaded on JAMB CAPS, it’s impossible to be considered for admission. However, it’s important you cross check that your olevel Results are properly uploaded as in the guide below;

step 1: After you login to your JAMB portal by following the steps above you will see your dashboard.

Step 2: In each box is attached a title,the 1st box is “my profile” then “Noun Registration” you don’t have anything to do with those boxes, since you want to check olevel Results just scroll down to “CHECK ADMISSION STATUS”.click on it

step 3: Click on access my caps and not check admission status.

JAMB CAPS ADMISSION STATUS MESSAGES.

After following the steps outlined above in other to check if you have been offered admission on the JAMB CAPS portal, there are series of messages you are bound to see after you have input your JAMB Registration Number.

Below are the messages you will likely receive when you check your admission status using the JAMB caps and what you need to do concerning that.

ADMITTED

If you check your admission status and what you see is admitted, then congratulations as you have been offered admission and you can now proceed to accept the admission and follow the next instruction after accepting your admission.

RECOMMENDED

If after checking your admission status and you see Recommended, it means you may have been offered admission in other school other than the one you chose or an opportunity was opened for you in another school.

NOT ADMITTED

The Third set of message you may likely see when trying to check if you have been offered admission is Not Admitted, in this case, you have been considered for admission just yet or you will not be offered admission at all. If you see this message, you are not allowed to accept the admission.

ADMISSION IN PROGRESS, CHECK BACK LATER

If you see the above message bearing admission in progress, check back later, then it has a straight forward explanation which means that your school is yet to release they admission list or that they are still releasing the admission list.

APPROVED

If your portal shows approved, then congratulations, as JAMB has approved the admission offered to you.

USE JAMB CAPS SYSTEM TO CHECK ADMISSION STATUS

For those of you who are still lost, CAPS is Central Admission Processing System and was recently introduced by JAMB.

Therefore, to check you admission status on JAMB CAPS portal, simply follow the instructions below.

• Stroll into any cyber cafe or of course you can use your smartphone if you have data
• Then, click on your fastest and most reliable browser especially google chrome.
• Visit the JAMB CAPS admission checking portal by clicking here.

Immediately you click that, the portal will open as shown below

• Then input your JAMB registration number in the space where you will see UTME Registration number at the JAMB CAPS homepage.

JAMB CAPS Market Place Operations

The Market Place feature in CAPS provides flexibility for the Institutions to source for candidates who may not have earlier chosen the institution for Admission consideration.

Institutions may specify various selection parameters such as UTME score, State/ Local Government, Gender, preferred programmes /course of the Candidates.

The List of Candidates so selected from the Market Place are then pushed to JAMB who then notify the Candidates of Market Place consideration by Institutions. A candidate may Accept / Reject Market Place consideration, subject to a maximum of three (3) Market Place considerations at a time.

The Candidates could also approach the Market Place to announce availability for Admission consideration from any institution or for any programme different from those earlier indicated during the UTME Registration, provided s/he has requisite O’ Level Results and wrote the required subject combination in the UTME.

Any agreement or understanding on Admission consideration between the Institution and candidate based on Market Place operations will have to be effected with a requirement for the Candidate to effect a Change of Institution on the JAMB Portal to be available for Download (Step 6 above) by the new Institution to follow the subsequent steps in the Admission Process.
