Nigeria is a country located in the shores of West Africa. She is generally referred to as the”Giant of Africa” due to it’s high number population and work force.
It is bless with Nature’s embodiments of beauty and as such, coming to Nigeria is nothing short short of fun and entertainment as they have a host of parks, cinemas, recreational centres, delicious delicacies, hotels and beautiful landscape to get you all engaged.
But before coming to get all these packed fun, you need to plan on how to engineer a successful flight to the country and one of the decisive factor is Visa. In case you want to travel to Nigeria and you are wondering if Visa is a requirement, then you have come to the right page.
Do I need a visa to Visit Nigeria? Yes, you surely need one to go there.
Also, getting a visa only will not warrant you to land there. There are other requirements needed which we will show you in this article.
Before coming, you need to select your purpose of Visit before proceeding to add your travel destination.
Your international passport is needed and it must be valid for the next six (6) months. This must come clean, fresh and neat as tored or unkept ones will not be considered.
The next thing is for you to attach two of your high quality photographs. They should not be more than 3-months old and should be taken on a plain white background with your neutral face clearly showing on it’s middle.
The next thing is to attach your cover letter which should be addressed to the Nigerian Embassy in your country.
A duely completed Visa application form is required.
Make sure you have your invitation letter. This will be presented at the embassy to help ascertain the purpose of Visit. It may be your admission letter, business invitation, seminar presentation visit letter and so on.
Your e-ticket displaying your trip information will be required of you. This must contain your round trip details, day of departure and returning date e.t.c.
Also, present your proof of accommodation and financial capacity. The later should be verified through your bank statements while the former should be verified through hotel reservation or hostel accommodation.
If you are planning on staying with your friend or relative, you need to follow the above instructions first before switching to your preferred choice of accommodation on your arrival to the country.
